10,000+ Individuals Served (Since 2023)

Community Cookout at Givens Park – November 1, 2025
On November 1, 2025, our community came together at Givens Park for an incredible day of unity, service, and love. Together, we served over 1,200 free barbecue plates to families, seniors, and neighbors across Austin. Volunteers not only distributed meals at the park but also delivered them to local shelters, apartment complexes, and encampments—ensuring that everyone could share in the spirit of community and care.
This event was made possible through the generosity and partnership of our amazing sponsors and supporters:
10,000 Fearless First Responders, ATX Peace, My Sister Keepers ATX, Texas Empowerment Academy, DAWA, Muhammad Mosque #64, A Little Bit of Good, Willie Chapel, ATX Soul Radio, Team Camille Crayton, Slab BBQ, Lillie Mae’s Comfort Food, LB’s Catering and Children’s Foundation, CW LLC, H-E-B, Central Texas Food Bank, and Costco.
And we’re not stopping here — we’ll be doing it again, even bigger and better, on November 22, 2025, at The Millennium in East Austin from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Join us for our Friendsgiving Celebration, where even more community partners will come together to offer Thanksgiving meals, free resources, vendors, and family fun.
Please continue to follow us on social media for updates as we prepare to serve and celebrate with our community once again.

100,000+ Pounds of Food Distributed (Since 2024)
Through partnerships with H-E-B, Costco, and the Central Texas Food Bank, we’ve distributed more than 100,000 pounds of food—fighting hunger and creating pathways to stability for families most impacted by displacement and hardship.
Emergency Food Distribution – October 30, 2025
On October 30, 2025, The Healing Project hosted an Emergency Food Distribution in partnership with the Central Texas Food Bank and Texas Empowerment Academy. This drive-thru style event allowed families to safely and efficiently receive fresh produce, pantry staples, and essential items right from their vehicles.
In just a few hours, we were able to serve hundreds of families across Austin—providing immediate relief and nourishment to those in need.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers who showed up with dedication, compassion, and teamwork to make this day a success. Together, we continue to fight food insecurity and bring hope to our community, one family at a time.
